Chocolate Custard Tart

There are so many recipes with chocolate, but, some of them, just made you speechless. I was left speechless with this Chocolate Custard Tart. It’s homemade recipe, it’s easy recipe, and you can make it at home, with no troubles! This also can be really good Christmas desert!  Take a look, try it, and enjoy it!

Ingredients

  • All measures are in one cup of 2.5 dl
  • 1 liter of whole milk
  • 7 / 8 cup starch (= 100 gr)
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 cup sugar
  •  5 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 sheet of puffed pastry

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. In the meantime, make the custard :
  2. In the middle size bowl whisk eggs and sugar. In another, larger pan heat and mix milk and starch. Constantly mixing. When the milk with carbohydrates boil, remove it from the fire. Add cream and cocoa and mix them. It is important that the mixture is prone to fire, to cool the cream and cocoa, otherwise the mixture with the eggs in lump.
  3. Then add the mixture to the eggs and sugar.
  4. In greased baking pan (standard size of about 24-26 cm) to put puff paste and prick the bottom of the fork. Add cream and bake for one hour.

Serving

When cool, refrigerate and serve cold with whipped cream and (or) fruit
